Resident and Student Awards
To encourage interest in Vascular Surgery, the Eastern Vascular Society is announcing two awards that will be granted to a Junior Surgical Resident and a Medical Student for the best case-reports of vascular disease cases.
Applicants should be from member institutions located in the Eastern Vascular Society’s geographical area and be Medical Students or 1st-3rd year Surgical Residents at the time of submission of the case-report.
The manuscript should follow the outlines of a standard case-report, should include relevant illustrations and a comprehensive review of the literature on the subject presented, and be no more than 12 pages long. Non-operative, endovascular, and open operative cases are all acceptable.
Winners will present their case-report during the Annual EVS meeting in Philadelphia, PA, September 24-26, 2009.

Winners will receive a cash award at the Annual Meeting. The Society will also cover the transportation, lodging and registration expenses of the awardees to attend the Annual Meeting of the Eastern Vascular Society, September 24-26, 2009 in Philadelphia, PA.
